Meet the speakers
Andrew Powell
Andrew is a family law barrister called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2008 at 4PB. He is widely recognised for his expertise in cases concerning children. He was recently described in Chambers and Partners as having “..an absolutely encyclopaedic knowledge of surrogacy law”.His work focuses on parental disputes about arrangements for children after separation, international children law including child abduction, and applications to relocate children to another country. He regularly represents parties in surrogacy, adoption and declaration of parentage cases. He has appeared in some of the leading cases concerning surrogacy and adoption.
Hannah Mantle TEP
Hannah is a Partner in the Trust and Estate Disputes team at Forsters, recognised for her expertise in domestic and international private client disputes. She represents a variety of clients both onshore and offshore, across a full range of private wealth disputes – from contentious probate, to trusts disputes, to capacity matters.
Hannah takes pride in effective collaboration with clients, other teams at Forsters, and professionals in other jurisdictions, often co-ordinating and managing cross-jurisdictional teams on international matters. She mixes emotional intelligence and technical expertise to advise clients with sensitivity and empathy whilst taking a robust and proactive approach to disputes, to obtain the best result for each client.
Ranked in Chambers High Net Worth Guide 2024 and praised in The Legal 500 2023 for ‘excellent litigation management skills’, Hannah is described in directories as ‘brilliant’, and ‘practical, collaborative and sensible’. She is a full member of STEP and is deputy chair of the special interest group for Contentious Trusts and Estates.
